Why the GC Index is a game-changer for Teamshaper

Like many of you, I’ve taken my fair share of personality assessments over the years: Myers-Briggs, Belbin, colour profiling - you name it, I’ve done it. Each gave me a little more insight into myself. But when we were building Teamshaper, I was looking for something more: a tool that could help us truly understand our clients and design bespoke training programmes that make a lasting impact.

That’s when I discovered The GC Index. I liked it because:

  • It’s data-driven and incredibly accurate

  • It’s fresh, many people haven’t come across it yet

  • Most importantly, it aligns perfectly with our ethos

Unlike traditional assessments, The GC Index doesn’t label you as “good” or “bad” at something. It’s non-judgemental. It reveals your natural proclivities, the types of business activities you’re instinctively drawn to. And when you’re doing what comes naturally, you’re more likely to thrive – not just be good at it, but actually, dare I say it, enjoy it too!

The GC Index also has this feature where it builds a whole-team profile out of the reviews of individual members, which creates a very cool visualisation of combined team dispositions. It’s highly intuitive and very powerful.

For us at Teamshaper, it’s become a lens to:

  • Understand team dynamics

  • Uncover hidden strengths

  • Identify gaps

  • Ultimately, build training that actually sticks

If this resonates with you, let’s talk. I’m now a qualified GCologist (yes, that’s a thing!) and would love to show you how this tool can transform your team’s performance. Drop me a message if you’re curious.
